A Fresh Start

Wagon.jpg
You find yourselves in the city Neverwinter for a variety of reasons that you may care to share or maybe you don’t. Each of you has made the acquaintance of a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker and most call him friend. Gundren has hired you to escort a wagon to the frontier town of Phandalin. You have accepted his offer and are making preparations for departing on the morrow. Gundren has gone ahead with a warrior, Sildar Hallwinter, to attend to business in the town while you follow with the supply wagon. You’ll each be paid 10 gold pieces which is quite a boon given your current financial situation. The owner of Barthen’s Provisions in Phandalin will settle accounts with each of you when you deliver the wagon safely to his trading post. Before Gundren left he handed you a scrap of a map that was obviously copied from a much better version and said in his hearty voice, “take The High Road south out of the town until you reach the Triboar Trail which splits the Neverwinter Wood and the Sword Mountains. Take the trail inland and you’ll find Phandalin not too far down the path in the foothills of the mountains themselves. I may have more work for you once Sildar and I get situated”. And with that he checked over the wagon once more and departed towards the south gate leaving the party to handle the final work readying the wagon and team for departure.
